Nestled in the heart of a hidden Himalayan valley, the Serang Monastery Committee is undertaking a noble mission to transform an existing building into the Serang Clinic, providing hope to a community facing significant healthcare challenges. The monastery is undergoing urgent interior renovations for the clinic's functionality. The committee seeks generous financial support to enhance healthcare infrastructure, including the construction of a nearby toilet.

In the heart of the hidden valley in the Himalayas lies the Serang community, facing formidable healthcare challenges that requires your generous support. The Serang Monastery Committee has embarked on a noble mission to repurpose a building into the Serang Clinic, a beacon of hope for addressing the pressing medical needs of this resilient community.
Situated at an altitude of 3,200 meters, the Serang Monastery, originally built this building to host local guests, is undergoing a profound transformation into a clinic that will leave an everlasting impact. Urgent interior renovations are required for the four rooms and kitchen to become fully functional, housing a pharmacy, examination and sick rooms, and bedrooms for dedicated nurses.
Your generous financial support is crucial in turning this vision into reality, making the Serang Clinic a sanctuary of health and healing. In addition, we aim to construct a nearby toilet, a vital component of healthcare infrastructure that enhances patient convenience and hygiene.
Living in a high-altitude location with the nearest health post six hours away, the Serang community faces unique challenges. Emergency medical help is limited, and the cost of an emergency rescue helicopter is prohibitively expensive. The Serang Clinic aims to bridge these gaps, providing accessible healthcare services and reducing the need for costly emergency rescues.
The estimated project cost for the clinic's transformation is NPR 14,42,122.5/-. Thanks to the generosity of Erik Lehmann, who donated NPR 579,515.25/- through the HCE Dr. Thomas’s Foundation, we have taken the first steps. However, we still need NPR 8,62,607.25/- to complete this vital project and bring healthcare closer to those who need it the most.
